This place is a real hidden gem of York. Even some of the locals don't know about this place!
The Attic serves amazingly flavourful coffee, cakes, and light snacks by day, gin bar by night. I shared a Chemex with my sister, our server gave us a really good coffee recommendation, and they frequently change the beans they have on offer.
Of an evening they have a gin menu, where you choose a gin, a mixer, and a 'side' for your drink. I opted for a Gin Mare with Fevertree Mediterranean tonic water and a Rosemary side on the recommendation of our server. All I can say is wow! This was a wonderfully crisp and savoury tasting drink, very enjoyable.
Definitely seek this place out, it has very limited opening hours, and keep an eye out for the entrance - as its above Harlequins.
